Galfond drops 200K to Phil Ivey

Phil Ivey and Phil “OMGclayaiken” Galfond find themselves in yet another heads up battle on FTP, at Halbert 300/600 NL Hold em. From the very beginning, Ivey’s stack took an uphill swing and never looked back down. Galfond, seeming unable to read a majority of Ivey’s plays, lost a big majority of the pots played to showdown, around 80%. After eating away at his opponent’s stack with many successful, value-bets and bluff-calls, Ivey manages to profit $200,000 by the time Phil Galfond calls it quits and gets away.

Seda1 returns to Ivey Deathmatch for a 100K double up against Phil Ivey

Having suffered a few losses to Ivey earlier in the night, Seda1 returned to battle heads up with Ivey once again at Ivey Deathmatch super high stakes poker table. After dropping 150k to Durrr just minutes earlier, Ivey was soon ready to mingle, hoping to recoup his losses. However, Ivey was soon disappointed when he received a lot of heat, having to concede many pots to Seda’s post-flop raises. Phil Ivey struggled to snag one 37k pot while Seda1 took down numerous 17K+ pots , and Seda1 would eventually end the poker match up about $100,000 by the time Ivey called it quits.

Phil Ivey ships 150K to Durrr via Ivey Thunderdome High Stakes Omaha 500k 1000k table

Tom “Durrr” Dwan challenged Phil Ivey to high stakes poker heads up action at Phil’s Thunderdome and Deathmatch tables. eIvy chose to play against Dwan in the Ivey Thunderdome, but refused to play Dwan in the Ivey Deatchmatch table, saving the seat solely for Seda1, who would eventually return to challenge Ivey later on in the night. After the match got underway, Phil Ivey played a typical, aggressive preflop game, taking many uncontested blinds, but barely managed to pick up a few sizable pots after the flop. Dwan would go on to pick up several several 30k+ pots without showing down. At one point, Mike Matusow was railing the game and made a few comments to Dwan. Eventually, Tom Dwan would snag some key 100k+ pots to end the match with a total profit of $150,000. After losing several buy-ins, Ivey left the table abruptly.
