Double-ups and bustouts abounded in high stakes action on Sunday night at Full Tilt Poker. Two $500-$1000 HA tables were going with Gus Hansen, Hac Dang “trex313” , and Patrik Antonius populating both. Dang had to endure a several bustouts early on. The first came when he moved all-in on the flop with a pair of kings. Antonius called, having flopped two pair. The two pair held up and Antonius took down a pot worth $85,888.

A raising war occurred pre-flop and by the time the smoke cleared, Dang had moved all-in a third time. This time had a monster hand with A-A-J-10 double suited. Gus Hansen made the call with K-K-3-5 with the 3-5 suited. Hansen would pull off a major suckout in this hand, catching a five on both the flop and turn to win the hand with trip fives. Dang busted for the third time in a row and reloaded yet again.

Shortly after this hand, Antonius and Hansen started vanishing from tables and the other pros decided to take a break for a while. Although not stated, it did seem that Antonius was hanging around waiting for durrrr to show. Of course, durrrr seems to like to play in the $500 – $1000 cash games, so the challenge may not have continued. A lot of the railbirds were commenting on the improvement that Hansen has seemed to make in his cash game play. At the same time, many were also bemoaning the bad luck of Dang. Dang for the most part had a rough day at the tables, but he was able to keep his losses down a little with his double up.

The unknowns were out in force at the Chau Giang $200 – $400 PLO table on Full Tilt Poker tonight. Play started with Juggle This and Jani Vilmunen AKA KObyTAPOUT playing heads-up with railbirds wondering what was going on. In early high stakes action at Full Tilt Poker, Sami Kelopuro AKA LarsLuzak, Hac Dang aka trex313, and Gus Hansen duked it out at a couple of HA tables. After some relatively tame action early on, Hansen would double his stack to nearly $100,000 after pushing with two pair and a flush draw and then turning his flush.

After finishing up nearly $100,000, Hansen would eventually leave the HA tables. Trex313 would follow shortly. I guess they figured that they would try again later.

A couple of hands later, Hansen left this table as well to take a break. He finished up over $30,000 on this table. Between the three sessions, Hansen finished up over $200,000. Isn’t Hansen supposed to be a fish online? Perhaps he has learned how to cook some fish finally. With his results so far this year, it may not be long before players stop lining up to give away their money to the many that is supposed to fund their bankrolls.

In recent years the government has done everything in its powers to take away the freedoms and tax dollars of the American people. Poker railbirds talk about collusion at high stakes online poker tables all the time. They never cease to be convinced that there are cheaters in online poker, but mention government and corporation colluding to take tax dollars and you are labeled as a conspiracy theorist.

We are free to go to the casino and pay an extraordinary rake, but if we attempt to play online poker or play at home we are breaking the law? I went to Mountaineer race track in West Virginia and played some poker at their poker room that opened in last year or two. I paid about 20$ in gas to go there and back, plus food when I got there, paid tips to the dealer, and paid more than double what the online rake is. I looked at the table and it said West Virginia Lottery. I asked the dealer why that was there and she said like 40% of the rake goes to the state. OK, so the state gets half the money and uses it to help people in the state. That’s what we are supposed to believe but the problem is that I just don’t buy it. I pay taxes for real estate, school, income, sales, and a bunch of other crap, but I don’t see any improvements in the country I live in. Our school system is a joke, I still have to pay if I go to the hospital, and my country sends troops all over the world to grant other countries “FREEDOM”. So who is free? Me? I don’t really own my house, the bank does. If I had it paid off, I’d still have to pay $6k in taxes a year plus $10,000 in utilities to rip off utility monopolies. It is my belief that our taxes are not going to help the state, citizens, or cities that collect them (or at least 50% of the money). Not to mention I pay to send my son to private school instead of a public school.

I ask you to question these bailouts, budgets, taxes, school taxes, property taxes, and wage taxes. I ask you to question where this money is actually going and why. Why is it OK to fly to Las Vegas and get a $5,000 chip and place it on red and lose, but it’s not OK to play online poker in the privacy of our homes? Why is it OK to buy 1000 shares of ENE (ENRON), but not play online poker?

The shift in income is huge, so much that I saw Warren Buffet playing heads up poker with Uncle Sam for all the new tax money they are taking from us. They were playing 5 Mil/10mil at the Economy super high stakes tables at Full Tilt Poker!
