Phil Ivey has made many a railbird’s jaw drop with his sick high stakes heads up matches on Full Tilt Poker, and his epic helicopter rides to play craps in Atlantic City. The question is, if he wins his 8th bracelet, will it solidify his reputation as the greatest poker player in the world? I think Phil Can do it if he can win the 50k H.o.r.s.e.. I feel this is Phil’s best chance to win his 3rd bracelet of the series and his 8th of all time. Phil performs better VS better players and the 50k will not be a donk fest. I think it will have a smaller field than last year and I think there is going to be a better blind structure too.
The Hendon Mob has reported and verified that Howard Lederer has bet Phil Ivey 5 million that he cannot win 2 bracelets in 3 years. If he wins a WSOPE the bet is a push if he doesn’t do it in the USA. I thought it was 10 million in my earlier posts, but I guess the rumor got stretched.
