World Championship Heads Up No Limit Hold’em

Twelve remain in the $10,000 World Championship Heads Up No Limit Hold’em. Most of the well known top pros in the world are eliminated from the tournament. A few well players remain Johnny Chan is the most famous, then Dustin Woolf aka Neverwin, and Alec Torelli. This is the second time in 2 years that Alec is no where to be found during start of play WTF! This time his opponent was not as nice as last years as he is chipping away at Alec’s stack. (I would probably do the same thing.) Last year, Vanessa Selbst refused to steal chips and chose an honorable path (she would end up losing).

Justin Smith AKA BoostedJ was eliminated by Johnny Chan, and Jason Mercier would get coolered JJ to QQ against Nathan Doudney. Yevgeniy Timoshenko placed in the money losing to Bryan Pellegrino.

Months ago I wrote about Alec Torelli not being invited to play in the National Heads Up championship. Alec Torelli is a seasoned heads up pro, playing 10’s of thousands of high stakes hands heads up at Full Tilt Poker. I hope his performance here finally gets him an invitation to play in the prestigious heads up event. And if he gets invited, I hope he shows up promptly for the event! ‘

With 12 left my money is on Dustin Woolf aka Neverwin to win this…. My faith is in Alec, but if he can’t show up on time to play, my money is on Dustin.
