A Cleveland poker game was robbed with assault rifles for $11,000. This is the second time the a poker game was robbed in Cleveland this year, last April another game was taken for $75,000. A player went out for a smoke, and had a gun put to his head, the thief then had him knock on the apartment door where the game was going on. The players were told to remove their pants, then a robber gathered all the pants, and the thieves sprayed the players with pepper spray as they made their exit. The pants were later found along the highway. The robbery happened at 11:20 PM.

“Everybody is close knit,” “We’ve all played together at one time or another. We were stripped down to our underwear.”

“I thought I learned my lesson,” he said. “I thought, ‘Here we go again.’ It’s been quite the months I’m having.”

The game was advertised on Meetup.com. If you are going to run an illegal poker game, it’s best not to advertise on a website like Meetup or Craigslist. Criminals often look to rob poker games because of the large amount of cash and little security. If they rob a bank, they have the FBI after them, so they like to hit illegal high stakes poker games instead.
