Rush Poker Review
Poker, Poker News, Texas Holdem Poker January 19th, 2010Full Tilt Poker has just released Rush Poker. Rush Poker is soon to be the hottest new game to enter the online poker market. This new game is just a twist on the original Texas Holdem Poker game. This new game is a rushed or speedy version of Texas Holdem that allows players to fold their hand ahead of time, and simply get moved to a table when the next hand is ready to start.

After looking at the way this new game plays, it seems this could be the end of bumhunting. Bunhunters will be unable to surf Pokertableratings.com every second and look up stats on donks. Datamining may be completely obsolete, because you will only see one hand from the weak poker player because you are constantly being moved around.
I believe Pot Limit Omaha and other games will be added to the Rush line up. Pot Limit Omaha at such a fast pace, will truly be a sick game.

293 hands per hour
This doubles and in some cases triples the Hands/Hour format of online poker. This new games is going to call for some major adjustments to some players.
Rush Poker Strategy- right now I’m not sure on what strategy to use for this. The ability to see so many hands should tighten up loose players. Rush Poker may be the ideal setting for set miners and cash players who are tight aggressive. Players who go on tilt may also speed up their losses, the fast nature of the game may devastate players who are prone to tilt since they are playing so many hands. However, since they will be playing new players all the time, the opposite could be true. They wont be at the same table with the player who just put the bad beat on them, so they may calm down.
I see on the bottom of the preview page at Full Tilt that this is patent pending. This means it less likely to see other poker rooms develop identical software, and if they do they will most likely be sued for patent infringement.
I think this new game is awesome, and sure to revolutionize online poker. And it’s not like you have to play it if you don’t like it. If the game doesn’t suit your playing style, simply play the regular holdem games. Rush Poker is not for everyone, but it’s welcome in my world. I get bored even playing 4 screens, so this is just what I was looking for. I’m interested to see if they come out with a tournament format for this.
