The $2000/$4000 game once again got action on Full Tilt Poker Thursday afternoon. The regulars were in play as well as a few new players took their seats and played some of the biggest poker online. Gus Hansen, Tom Dwan aka durrrr, Cole South, and Richard Ashby were joined by John Hennigan ‘world1969′ in the highest mixed games in the world.

Action brewed in the Pot Limit Omaha round. A three way pot was built by Richard Ashby, Cole South, and ‘world1969′ when Hansen three bet to $9000 preflop. After both players checking into him, Ashby made an all in bet of over $20,000 forcing his opponents out and taking the pot.

The PLO round continued to give action when Gus Hansen and ‘world1969′ put all the money in the middle. Hansen’s two jacks were good enough to take the pot in the following hand.

The biggest hand to this point happened in this next hand. A Pot Limit Omaha hand between Gus Hansen and Cole South got big on the flop. South led the flop for the pot, $24,000, and Hansen moved all in over the top. South made the call, and his aces held up for a pot worth over $100,000.

South 5

Richard Ashby and ‘world1969′ played a big Limit Hold ‘Em hand for nearly $60,000, with Ashby getting the better of the exchange.

South 6

Cole South took all of ‘world1969’s money in this Razz hand, taking him out of action on the table.

South 7

Gus Hansen won a Limit Omaha H/L hand from Cole South. Over $30,000 was the prize in this hand.

South 8

Hansen didn’t keep the money long, however, as Richard Ashby took a pot from ‘The Great Dane’ in this hand.

South 9

Richard Ashby took the next pot, also in Limit Hold ‘Em, from Cole South.

South 10

Cole South took a pot off Ashby in the next hand. South tried to check-raise the river, but Ashby checked behind, limiting South’s winning pot to $40,000.

South 11

Cole South took a $40,000 pot in the Stud H/L round from Richard Ashby on this hand.

South 12

For our last hand, a big no Limit Hold ‘Em pot was played between Brian Hastings and Gus Hansen. Hastings moved all $100,000 to the pot, and Hansen called for his last $25,000. It was a classic race with a two over against an underpair, but it played out much more interestingly.

On the afternoon, the big winners were both Richard Ashby and Cole South. In what is starting to become a common theme, Gus Hansen was a loser on the session.
