howsitfeellike posts win in high stakes poker
High Stakes Poker, Poker January 23rd, 2010Monday morning was a perfect time for the big games on Full Tilt Poker. The growing $2000/$4000 games on Full Tilt Poker once again went off, this time on three different tables. Full Tilt red pros that took palce in the game included Gus Hansen, Richard Ashby, and Brian Hastings. They were joined by the high stakes regulars of ‘howsitfeellike,’ ‘profbackwards,’ ‘thecranium,’ and ‘rafiboy.’ The first big hand of the game came up in a Razz pot betweeen Gus Hansen and ‘profbackwards.’ Hansen got called on the river, and was good enough to take this pot.
The next pot was one of the bigger pots one can find online, and took place in the Pot Limit Omaha round. Brian Hastings made a raise. When ‘howsitfeellike’ three bet to $33,000, Hastings moved all in and was called. ‘howsitfeellike’ hit a set of aces on the flop, which was good enough for this pot worth over $140,000.
The next pot came in Limit Hold ‘Em, where Richard Ashby used a bet on the river to force out Brian Hastings and win this pot for $25,000.
At this time, one of the biggest players in the game, Phil Ivey, joined the action on two tables, sitting in for a crisp $100,000. Our next hand came from a Stud Hi round. Showing a scary board of all clubs, Richard Ashby bet the river, and ‘thecranium’ made a hero call with three fives for the win.
‘howsitfeellike’ continued a hot streak by winning this Omaha H/L hand from ‘profbackwards.’
Brian Hastings was the latest to lose a big pot to ‘howsitfeellike,’ this time in a Stud Hi hand for over $30,000 by laying down a hand on seventh street.
When the No Limit Hold ‘Em round came up, half the players sat out, for fear of the danger Ivey presents in the game. He didn’t strike fear into ‘howsitfeellike,’ who three bet an Ivey open and took this pot preflop.
Ivey, however, got revenge in this Pot Limit Omaha hand with a big bet on the turn.
Ivey used a big raise in this Omaha hand to take a pot from ‘profbackwards.’
The big action continued on this hand. Ivey made a bet in a three way pot, and was raised by ‘howsitfeellike.’ Ivey and ‘profbackwards both laid their hands down, giving the pot to ‘howsitfeellike.’
This hand was the end of the action for the day, as both ‘profbackwards’ and ‘howsitfeellike’ both left the table. The considerable winner on the session was ‘howsitfeellike,’ and took the biggest pot from Brian Hastings, making Hastings the biggest loser on the session.
