Posted by Poker Videos on February 28th, 2010

Multiple high stakes poker tables went off on Full Tilt Poker Thursday night. Some of the games biggest players sat at big stakes games. Di Dang screen name ‘Urindanger’ , Phil Galfond screen name ‘OMGClayAiken’ , and ‘PixKim’ were joined by others at the big time tables. These were the first games seen on Full Tilt that heavily featured the new feature of running pots twice. When all the money gets in the pot, it can be run twice. Players have this option, and it was clearly seen in these games. Our very first hand showed a pot run twice, where Phil Galfond took a total bot worth over $30k taking this pot from Dang.

Dang1

Galfond scooped another big pot here, after flopping a set of fours.

Dang2

Di ‘Urindanger’ Dang got some money back in this hand, hitting a flush on both times the hand was run.

Dang3

It didn’t take long for Galfond to get it back, scooping this pot.

Dang4

The battle for Cap Limit Omaha continued between Dang and Galfond when the two capped another pot here. Dang got the better of this hand.

Dang5

Dang took on another opponent in this hand, scooping a pot worht over $32,000 from ‘SxMxF.’

Dang6

Galfond and ‘SxMxF’ played a heads up table, and scooped this big pot.

Dang7

Dang got more ahead when he took this big pot from ‘NEKOTYAN.’

Dang8

Galfond used his ability to put the pressure on in this hand, making a raise to over $11,000 to take this pot.

Dang9

Aces weren’t good enough for anything for Galfond in this hand, losing both runs.

Dang10

On the night, Di Dang was the obvious winner, leaving the tables with over $100,000 in profit. After the last hand of heads up play, Phil Galfond’s winnings on the night were less, to around $40,000 from various opponents, mainly ‘SxMxF.’

Three of the biggest names in online high stakes poker took place in a big OE game on Full Tilt Poker. Our first hand saw Lindgren drop a big pot to Brian Townsend when Townsend’s ace high held.

Townsend took another pot off Lindgren, this time with a bet on the river to take a pot worth almost $20,000.

Townsend3

Oppenheim got revenge in this pot, taking it for over $13,000.

Townsend4

Townsend took it all back with this $14,000 scoop.

Townsend5

The two were exchanging blows for a while before Oppenheim landed this $20,000 pot with a bet on the river.

Townsend6

A raise on fifth street helped Oppenheim further his lead in the match, forcing Townsend to fold.

Townsend7

FTOPS winner Ashton Griffin ‘theASHMAN103′ joined the high stakes game, increasing the competition even further. It didn’t take long for David Oppenheim to suffer ‘theASHMAN103’s wrathe, losing this $25,000 pot.
Townsend8

Newcomers to the game in Tom Dwan screen name durrrr and ‘NEKOTYAN’ got involved in a big four way pot. Usually a chop doesn’t see much of a profit for either player, but this was the exception as Dwan and Townsend profited $10,000 from the hand.

Townsend9

Brian Townsend won a $25,000 from Tom Dwan on a different hand here.

Townsend10

David Oppenheim vs Tom Dwan plus Jdags in 100 200

Posted by Poker Videos on February 24th, 2010

Some of the big mixed games on Full Tilt Poker went off between some of the highest limit players in the world. John D’Agostino sat at the $100/$200 7-Game and was joined by notables such as ‘harrington25′ and Andrew Brown screen name Browndog19. Our first hand saw a chop. While most chops don’t win the players much money, this one saw each player take down over $3,000, as it was a four way hand.

Brown1

The game changed to Limit Hold ‘Em, where ‘harrington25’s two jacks were good enough for this $1500 pot.

Brown2

John D’Agostino got in the action on this pot, scooping a Limit Stud H/L hand for more than $1500.

Brown3

D’Agostino stayed in the mix in this hand, but folded on seventh street, giving a pot worth over $2000 to ‘Jeetorious.’

Brown4

‘Jeetorious’ took down another big hand, this time worth more than $3000.

Brown5

Action picked up on a separate $200/$400 table between D’Agostino and Brown. All of the money got in the pot on this hand, with both players holding three of a kind. D’Agostino’s ace kicker was good to double to over $8000.

Brown6

Action got even bigger when two nose bleed limit players, Tom Dwan screen name durrrr and David Oppenheim sat at the $1500/$3000 game. It didn’t take long for a pot worth more than $27,000 to brew, and heading Dwan’s way.

Brown7

Oppenheim rebought, and quickly got all that money in the middle, and doubled to over $25,000 here.

Brown8

Another pot worth more than $25,000 came about here, once again going to Oppenheim, this time in the Razz round.

Brown9
At that point in the game, Dwan and Oppenheim were ever. However, They got involved in a huge pot worth more than $40,000. Oppenheim took the pot to put him ahead on the session.

Brown10

The final hand put Oppenheim above Tom Dwan on the night for around $30,000. While over at the $100/$200 game, ‘Jeetorious’ was up around $10,000 on the night.

Tom Dwan and Isildur1 take heavy losses

Posted by Poker Videos on February 21st, 2010

The last five days of action on Full Tilt Poker have seen some massive swings, especially for the two biggest names in online poker. Both Tom Dwan screen name durrrr and the Swedish assassin Viktor Blom screen name Isildur1 have been gambling it up on Full Tilt and both have posted some impressive stats, but not exactly where they wanted them posted, in the loss column.

Isildur1 made headlines on Monday as he posted wins of over $700,000. From about 10:30 in the morning until around 3:30 in the afternoon, Isildur1 had posted nearly a quarter Million in winnings. After taking a break for a few minutes, he then came back and ground it out for another three hours, but finished down just over $90,000. After taking another break, he returned to play through the evening and well past the witching hour as he posted sessions totaling over $630,000.

After his Tuesday and Wednesday sessions, the internet was buzzing as Isildur1 had posted nearly $900,000 in wins. Isildur1 should have probably taken an extended lunch break into Thursday as he wiped out nearly two days of wins in a mere three and one half hours. He dropped nearly a quarter of a million in heads-up NL to Zeejustin. Brian Townsend then schooled Isildur1 on some heads-up $300-$600 PLO, taking him for over $650,000.

7-Game was also unkind to the Swede. He proceeded to donate a good portion of his winnings back to his opponents in this discipline as well. After being up earlier in the week by over $1.5 Million, Isildur1 rounded out his week with a loss of $36,065. I don’t know about you, but I think that maybe Isildur1 should stay away from the Pot-Limit Omaha. It’s addictive like crack, and it drains his bankroll much the same way.

The last five days have not been any kinder to Tom Dwan, but Dwan’s woes were not softened by a cushion of cash. Dwan started off Monday on a bad foot, losing around $60,000. He mostly tread water on Tuesday until around 9 P.M. Tuesday night. ZeeJustin I think has figured out the formula. Tom Dwan + Isildur1 = Tom Dwan loses. Isildur1 + ZeeJustin = Takes money from Isildur1 he won off Tom Dwan. Therefore, ZeeJustin + Durrrr = More Profit for ZeeJustin. That pretty much sums up a 1,458 session between Dwan and ZeeJustin. ZeeJustin walked away with $360,000 of Dwan’s money.

Dwan should have went back to bed on Friday. He attempted to play a couple of session on $300 – $600 PLO. In seven hours time Dwan dropped $960,000. Tack on some additional losses at $200 – $400 capped PLO and Dwan finished down a cool $1 Million for the day. Luckily for Dwan, HORSE was his friend this week. Dwan was actually the top winner in HORSE for the week, taking down over $463,000. His HORSE wins and a few other smaller winning session alleviated some of Dwan’s pain, but still left him down $693,560 for the week.

As always, the action is as juicy as ever at the higher limits at Full Tilt Poker. Millions can be won or lost in a brief amount of time. What will the next week bring. Will durrrr rebound? Will Isildur1 actually post a winning week? Will Phil Ivey break out into a rendition of “La Bamba?” Only time will tell, but as always, it will be one helluva ride.
