Jason Mercier Bio
Poker, Poker Pros May 5th, 2010A heater can be defined as a period of time in poker where that everything that goes right does. You don’t get sucked out on. You hit your draws. You win your races when you need to. The writers of poker terms should consider possibly rewriting this term and just putting in a picture of Jason Mercier. Mercier came out of nowhere in 2008 and since then has put together stats that most pros would envy for an entire career.
Jason Mercier exploded onto the poker scene in April of 2008. He made the final table of the EPT San Remo Event and outlasted a table consisting of both Dario Mineri and Antony Lellouche to take home the top prize of $1.372 Million. In September of 2008, he made a pair of high profile final tables as well. He finished 6th in the EPT Barcelona Main Event and followed that up two weeks later with a 8th place finish in the £5,000
PLO Event at the World Series of Poker Europe. To round out his strong rookie year, he took down the High Roller Event at the European Poker Championships in London for a cool $944,847. Read More about Jason Mercier here.
