Anna Chapman was arrested along with 10 others for failing to notify US they were agents of another country. The group is nevertheless being called a spy ring. The members were using drops and new blue tooth data transmissions to send and retrieve info to their handlers.

Apparently Anna Chapman tried to raise capital for an online poker site says her Facebook friend Alexander Sasha Galitsky a managing partner for a Moscow-based Almaz Capital Partners.

“She tried to raise capital for her online real estate business,” he said in an e-mail Tuesday. “After this she tried to speak about some other initiative like online poker, but this is out of our policy.”

One of her old texts read:
“You were sent to USA for long-term service trip,” the message read, according to the FBI affidavit. “Your education, bank accounts, car, house etc. — all these serve one goal: fulfill your main mission, i.e, to search and develop ties in policymaking circles in US and send intels [intelligence reports] to C [Center].”

Anna fell into an FBI trap and was arrested. She faces 5 years in prison if convicted.
