Bill Klein of High Stakes Poker

Bill Klein of High Stakes Poker Bio

Bill Klein is the type of poker player that most poker professionals love. He has a lot of money, and he really does not care whether or not he wins or loses. He is the truest example of a whale, but he also plays with a purpose.

Klein is one of the amateurs playing on the Season 7 of High Stakes Poker. When asked why he was playing he said that he “always wanted to be a TV star and this was a great way to break in.” He also told Scott that it was a big thrill for him to come in and meet some of the big name poker players that he had never gotten to play with before, such as Doyle Brunson.

Isildur1 Multi-tabling 25 50 Pot Limit Omaha

Posted by Poker Videos on January 29th, 2011

Viktor Blom screen name Isildur1 has found a new nemesis by the name of Flotsamfiend. Isildur1 was quite annoyed by the aggressive Super Nova Elite, so much that he would leave and come back on 5 tables and would short stack and play small ball. Yes! That’s right – Isildur1 min raising pre flop. It also appears that Isildur1 is going busto according to his stack sizes, internet chatter, and stats. I still don’t why he insists on playing Pot Limit Omaha over his specialty of No Limit Holdem. Flotsamfiend, on the other hand, is up 300k in 25/50 pot limit omaha with no signs of slowing down. Isildur1 was getting called with any top pair from any opponent. It seems they all wanted to bust the once mysterious superstar.

Isildur1 VS philivey2694

Posted by Poker Videos on December 15th, 2010

Recently Viktor Blom screen name Isildur1 was signed by Pokerstars. Isildur1 is really one of the first players only known for high stakes play to be signed by Pokerstars. Now they are following what Full Tilt Poker did by creating an online poker challenge where any person can challenge Isildur1 to 2500 hands of poker. Pokerstars is dubbing the new challenge “SuperStar Showdown

SuperStar Showdown

Here are the rules for the SuperStar Showdown:
“A SuperStar Showdown is a head-up cash game match that takes place over a single session of 2,500 hands. The hands will be split evenly across four tables of No Limit Hold’Em and Pot Limit Omaha, at stakes no lower than $50/$100. The winner of the match will be the player that shows a profit after all 2,500 hands have been played.

“In addition to money won during the 2,500 hands, the players will be competing for a prize purse of at least 300 big blinds ($30,000). The purse will be funded from the players’ bankrolls and will be held by PokerStars in escrow (to be transferred to the winner after the match).

“The SuperStar Showdown will take place once per week (at a mutually agreeable time/day to be determined in consultation with Isildur1). The opponents will alternate between a specially selected invited player, and a player that has responded to Isildur1’s open challenge.”

Isaac Haxton screen name philivey2694 has accepted the terms and will be Isildur1’s first challenger. Isaac Haxton goes into this match with close to $3 million in tournament winnings and 178k in online winnings at Pokerstars. He is a regular at Full Tilt Poker under the screen name of luvthewnba and has close to $1.1 million in cash game winnings there. Isaac is a solid poker player and consistant winner. I look forward to seeing these two fearless players go at it heads up!

Isildur1 VS MrSweets28

Posted by Poker Videos on December 11th, 2010

I reported to you the other day that Pokerstars has signed Viktor Blom screen name Isildur1. Since then Isildur1 has continued the same pattern where he had left off at Full Tilt Poker. Basically, he goes on sick runs then losses it back the next day plus some. Isildur1 has a Pot Limit Omaha obsession that he has to get rid of simply because of the variance involved in that game IMO. He needs to stick to NL Holdem if he wants to ever get back in to the black. I think he is very talented but not able to shift gears. At Pokerstars he’s down about 100k which isn’t too bad for those stakes.

As you see below, Isildur1 did quite well before he ran into Phil Galfond screen name Mrsweets28 on Pokerstars (omgclayaiken on Full Tilt Poker).

Isildur1 poker sessions at Pokerstars
