Pokerbloggs.com is looking for poker writers who have knowledge of all forms of poker. Writers must play online, must have knowledge of Omaha, Holdem, Razz, Stud, and follow the high stakes games at Full Tilt Poker and other sites. Writers must also have many hours of watching poker on TV under their belt. We are only hiring part time and you would not be an employee of the site, but rather an independent contractor who provides us with articles. If you own your own poker blog, but would still like to write for us, we would be happy to have you as one of our contributors. Pokerbloggs.com specializes in covering high stakes poker, online tournaments, the WSOP, and poker gossip. Basic tech skills are needed in order to know how upload photos, take screen shots, etc etc. Please contact me at XXXpropokerspaceXX@mac.comXXX (remove x’s) if you are interested in becoming a poker writer. We are not looking for Pulitzer Prize winners, just bloggers who have basic tech skills, and understand poker.
Kevin Pereira and Olivia Munn go on episode of an episode of Poker After Dark to battle it out with high stakes pros Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey. Unfortunately Olivia Munn is felted early by Kevin’s AA vs her KK.
That didn’t really happen, but G4 did cover all the top poker blogs in the world and featured Pokerbloggs.com and Felttube.com. Little do they know I’m a huge fan and watch the show every day that I can. G4 covering poker blogs is really good attention for the online poker industry since most of the people that watch their show are tech savvy, and are online all the time. I think Olivia Munn would make a great poker host but I think their other host Layla Kayleigh already had that gig.
Kevin Pereira has been involved in websites since he was a teen. Kevin had earned three California Media Festival awards which launched him towards his career as a quick witted tech reviewer/host on G4 TV. It would be really cool to see Kevin enter some poker tournaments at Full Tilt Poker!
Poker Blog authors Bill Rini, Linda Geenen, and Shirley Rosario started blogging about poker long before anyone. I used a tool called “wayback machine” to see what their sites looked like in the past. I also used it to look at not only poker blogs, but poker portals and poker directories like pokerlistings.com.
Pokerlistings.com circa Oct 2003
Linda Geenen’s site Poker Works which was one of first poker blogs circa 1999
Full tilt Poker before it was a working poker site circa 2002:
Lou Krieger poker blogger
Pokermike.com circa 2000
What will the Future of poker hold for blogging and poker sites? I think it will be more vlogs and vlogcasts. It will allot less Blogger accounts and allot more Wordpress and other CMS.
