FTOPS VIII Main Event champion is Cheesemonster

Full Tilt Poker ended its FTOPS VIII series with the $535 No Limit Holdem Main Event. 4,750 players entered this tournament and brought the prize pool up to 2.3 million dollars. After more than 10 hours of play, the final table went underway with more than $1.2 million paying out to the last nine finishers. A relatively known internet player Jason Strasser aka. strassa2, made the final table and was the first one to be eliminated. Cheesemonster was the one to knock him out and eventually held the chip lead for the remainder of the table. The biggest break came to Marmoss who landed a two-outer on the river against R2dl0bster and went onto go heads up against Cheesemonster. Holding a 3 to 1 chip advantage, Cheesemonster knocked out his opponent to take down the Main Event and the 1st place prize, worth $410,780.
