Yevgeniy Timoshenko, a 21 year old internet poker young gun, is dominating the final table at the WPT championship. Considering that the final table consisted of Bertrand Grospellier aka Elky, Shannon Shorr, Scotty Nguyen, Christian Harder, and Ran Azor this is a pretty amazing stack.
Right now the stacks look like this:
Seat 1 – Elky Grospellier – 2,810,000
Seat 4 – Yevgeniy Timoshenko – 23,390,000
Seat 5 – Christian Harder – 1,925,000
Seat 6 – Ran Azor – 5,685,000
MY money is on Yevgeniy Timoshenko to take the WPT championship. I’m going to go even further and say that he will be WPT champion and 2009 WSOP Player of the year. And I think hes going to accomplish that by playing in just NL, PL Holdem and PL Omaha tournaments.

You will see in many tournaments live or online that the cream always rises to the top.
This happens when there is a good blind structure and a large buy in. Right now two of the players from the biggest live games are battling it out on the felt at the Mirage in Las Vegas.

Down to less than 10 players Amnon Filippi asks Phil Ivey for a chip count. Ivey tells him his chip count is 240 k and Amnon Filippi puts him all in. Phil Ivey shows AA and Amnon Filippi shows KK. Phil Ivey doubles up to around 500k.
There are 8 Players left now in a tournament that started with 309. Two of the players
are from the biggest high stakes poker game (Amnon Filippi and Phil Ivey) and Darrel Dickens aka Gigabet is one of the best online poker players in the world. So you see, the cream always rises to the top!
