A new high stakes player has emerged in recent weeks on Full Tilt Poker in the name of __FullFlush1__. His style is loose aggressive style has had the high stakes pros over at Full Tilt Poker reeling. For the month of February, he has won over $1.2 Million in over 22,000 hands.
While winning over a Million in a month at high stakes is not uncommon, the way that __FullFlush1__ has been doing it has been the talk of all of the online community. He has adopted a brash, confrontational demeanor and has consistently called out other players on the site. He has called out Tom Dwan aka durrrr on several occasions and has given him a new nickname of “durrrrballs.” He also told Di Dang “urindanger” that his brother Hac Dang “trex313” played like a small girl. His demeanor has not won him any friends at the table but as Dwan put it he will “put up with the talk to take his money.”
There has been wild speculation as to the identity of this player. Several names have been floated from Rory Mathews “Mafews” to “Action” Dan Harrington. Of course, anyone that plays Harrington knows that he would not adopt such a brash style online. The general consensus amongst sources seems to have pegged __FullFlush1__ as English player Lukas Schwartz.
Schwartz has been a high stakes regular on Betfair and other poker sites and does not have much in the way of a live poker resume. He has around $27,000 in live tournament earnings and all of his finishes are in England. His best finish was a runner-up finish in the Main Event of the 2005 Harbour Lights Poker Festival in Brighton for just over $19,000.
Schwartz was recently interviewed by PokerStars at the European Poker Tour event at Prague in 2008. During the event, he said that he wasn’t having any problems because he “owned everyone at the table.” His demeanor that he has shown on Full Tilt was evident at the event as well. However, Schwartz painted a different picture. According to Schwartz, he said that he “likes to wind players up. I get bored looking at all these depressing faces….I’ve got to bring a bit of life to this game.”
Schwartz has picked up fans on both sides of the fence. At several online poker forums, there are threads both in support and condemning his style of play. Some like the fire that he brings to the table, while others think that it will only be a matter of time before he becomes busto.
Schwartz’s antics in the chat box at Full Tilt Poker resulted in his chat privileges being suspended at the site. He did receive the customary warning and short term suspensions as most players would receive from the site. However, in the end, his antics were too much and Full Tilt dropped the chat hammer on him. After his chat was revoked, it was rumored that __Fullflush1__ cashed out from the site.
Whether or not that Schwartz can continue this incredible run remains to be seen. Odds are that he will come back down to earth after the players on Full Tilt adjust to his style and his mouth. As is the nature of poker, players come and go at Full Tilt and other poker sites. Today’s headliner may be tomorrow’s railbird.
For now, __Fullflush1__ will serve as an interesting story as this player tries to make his way in the online poker world. If the rumors of his cashing out on Full Tilt are true, he will likely surface on another site, or perhaps later on at Full Tilt. Regardless, the pros will be lining up to take their shot at Schwartz’s bankroll and to try and shut his mouth up.
