Shaun Deeb “shaundeed” began his online poker career at the age of 19. He started out with a $30 deposit and within 2 weeks, he had run that $30 into over $33,000. From those early starts, Deeb has become one of the most feared players online.

Deeb is regularly at or near the top of the online player of the year race. He is consistently making strong showing in events on both PokerStars and at Full Tilt Poker. He has two major tournament wins to his credit. First, he won FTOPS IX Event #9 in August 2008, which was a Heads-Up NL Holdem event. He took $115,014 for the win. A month later, he won the WCOOP Event #25. The event was a PLO with rebuys event. He took $114,113 and the championship bracelet.

Other wins for Deeb include the Sunday Warmup in May 2008 for over $100,000, a Super Tuesday win for over $81,000, and a $1k Monday win on Full Tilt Poker for over $84,000. Overall, Deeb has won over $2 Million in online tournaments for his career.

His live poker career hasn’t been nearly as successful, but that is primarily due to lack of playing. In the few events he has played, he two wins which include a win in a Team Event in the PokerStars World Cup of Poker. He has also cashed three times at the 2007 World Series of Poker. Most recently, he made two final tables in August at Empire State Holdem Championships in New York.

One of the reasons for Shaun’s quick rise in the poker world is the fact that he can play as many as 30 tables at one time. When asked how he is able to do so, he admitted that it took a lot of practice. He says that if you try to play too many tables at one time to start with, you will be a consistent loser. Start with two at a time and work your way up. Eventually you will get there.

Deeb has admitted that one of his weaknesses at the poker table is his emotional state. He says that he will berate players too frequently and this tends to tilt him. He has tried to turn off chat on various occasions but says that he likes talking to people that want to rail him.

So far in 2009, Deeb has won $263,278 in live tournaments. He has played well over 10,000 tournaments in his life. His favorite type of tournament to play is the 180 player Sit-N-Go tournaments. He says that they are the reason he has been able to make money with playing so many tournaments.

Shaun Deeb plays on PokerStars under the handle “shaundeeb” and on Full Tilt Poker as

Tedsfishfry. With over 10,000 tournaments under his belt, Deeb is among the most experienced, and the most dangerous, tournament players online. While he is not a household name in many homes yet, if he attacks the live poker world like he has the online world, he should start making the final table of high profile events in no time.
