Jennifer Leigh, a.k.a. “Jennicide”, born August 10, 1983, still resides in her hometown of Wilmington, Delaware when she is not traveling the world playing poker. Jennifer started playing poker online at Pokerstars.com, in early 2004, under username, “Jennicide”. Leigh, whos is a self-proclaimed internet geek, quickly mastered the game using her knowledge of video games and computers. She created the name “Jennicide”, at 12 years old, as her handle on hackers bulletin boards long before she began playing poker. She chose the name originally because it was close enough to her own name but added a little dark mystery to it.

Within one year of playing online, she became the highest ranked female in tournaments at Pokerstars. One of her major accomplishments, at the young age of 21, was to build a $5 buy-in amount at Pokerstars into enough of a bankroll to regularly play $100/$200 blinds in cash games. As a result of her success, Leigh was invited in July 2005 by GSN to play Poker Rayales’ Battle of the Ages along with well-known poker pros. Jennicide finished 5th in the Poker Royale tournament after a 1st place finish in preliminary match against Dan Harrington, Dutch Boyd, John Cernuto and Erin Ness. Next, Leigh made a huge impact at the World Poker Tour by finishing in the black at WPT 2006 Caribbean Poker Adventure which is now part of the European Poker Tour. In July 2006, she cashed in 18th place during the WSOP event #34. Later in 2006, Jen took 4th place in PokerStars Sunday million, outlasting a starting field of over 5600 players. More recently, Jen signed on with Iron Duke Poker as their first spokesperson.

Jen lives her life spontaneously. From dropping out of college (she was pre-law), to moving to Las Vegas and becoming a professional poker player. Her spontaneity led her to pose in the 2007 edition of FHM Online and, more notably, she also posed in the May 2008 issue of Playboy magazine.

Leigh is very passionate about poker but wishes she could change the gender classification in tournaments. Since poker tournaments are not classified by race or sexual preference, she feels that gender should not be an issue. Being a role model to other women is very important to her. She has already proven that not only is women’s presence in poker here to stay, but so is she.

When she’s not working, she’s busy spending time with family and friends. She also loves shopping, nightclubbing with the girls, and traveling around the world. Jennicide also maintains a blog at Jennicide.com about her poker experiences and her success in video gaming, primarily World of Warcraft. Having reached the 70th level on WOW, she has dominated to the highest level a player can get. In addition to WOW, Final Fantasy is another of Leigh’s favorite video games.

Intelligent, talented, attractive and famous on and off the tables, Jennifer Leigh is definitely one poker babe to keep an eye on.
