Another woman wonder has made a splash in the world of poker, entering her name into the poker history books. Sandra Black Mamba Naujoks entered the European Poker Tour event on her home German soil in Dortmund. She then fought her way through 666 tough poker competitors, and she came out on top, winning more than a million dollar cash. Sandra is only the second woman in history to accomplish this feat, and the first to do so in the European Poker Tour. In that one act, in that one tournament, Sandra Naujoks accomplished several records. She set herself apart from poker professionals around the globe making herself one of the most respected and feared poker adversaries that could be faced anywhere.
To give you a little background on Sandra Naujoks, let’s walk through her history briefly. She entered college seeking a dual degree in German, her native tongue, and History. Together the degrees lead her into teaching. During her teaching years she came to develop a passion for another venture, Graphic Design. She pursued that combined with Modeling and found great success. All the while she would enter online poker games and events as The Black Mamba, finding some cash and tournament wins. These wins lead her into the competitive world of poker, and to her title as the reigning European Female Poker Player of the Year.
She had solid grasp of poker from her online play, she did develop a real passion for the poker community and a respect from the poker professionals came with her first win at a live poker event. Once she played live, she came to love the game. In 2008 she entered the Casino Austria Poker tour and played heads up against Alexander Kravchenko, a Russian WSOP Bracelet holder, and won the game. She netted a nice cash of 240 thousand dollars, but more importantly it was this win that gave her the respect she so aptly deserved as a poker woman. This impressive achievement has lead to her winning the 2008 European Female Poker Player of the Year.
Since winning the title of Female Poker Player of the Year, she has become a member of Team Full Tilt Poker. As a representative of this mega poker room, she is sponsored into her events with great excitement. There is no limit to what she is capable of as she has proven by the success she has enjoyed with everything she has ever done.
