The Big Game 7-Game at Full Tilt continues

Posted by Poker Videos on October 26th, 2009

Big games continue to go down on Full Tilt Poker, and the very popular ‘7-Game’ once again brought the best in the world together to play one of the highest games running, a $2000/$4000 game. The game brought out three of the highest playing regulars, all of whom are Full Tilt ‘Red Pros.’ David Benyamine, Chau Giang, and Richard Ashby all sat in on the game, and were joined by ‘DIN_FRU.’ On the very first hand of action, Benyamine and ‘DIN-FRU’ got involved in a monster pot worth $50,000. Benyamine’s two pair was good enough to take the pot.

7-Game 1

When the game switched to No Limit Hold Em, Chau Giang decided to sit the round out, leaving the other three players to play. Benyamine was sitting on the big stack, and on the hand that Giang sat back in on the game, Benyamine made a pot sized continuation bet, forcing Din Fru to fold.

7-Game 2

Chau Giang used his favorite and most profitable game, Pot Limit Omaha, to double his stack through the big stack David Benyamine.

7-Game 3

The chat of these games is always crowded, but blew up when the two new players sat in the game. Two of the best and most liked players in the world, Patrik Antonius and Mike Matusow, sat in the game at this point. While many were fired up to see Matusow sit down, he never played a single hand, saying his reasoning was that four of the five other players were only sitting with ten big blinds. He left his seat, and ‘EazyPeazy’ took his spot. Richard Ashby got involved in the following hand, winning a pot in the Stud H/L level from Patrik Antonius worth over $40,000.

7-Game 4

‘EazyPeazy’ took the following big pot in Razz. After getting involved early with Benyamine, both players caught dull cards, but a bet was called on the river and Benyamine’s hand wasn’t good enough.

7-Game 5

‘DIN_FRU’ took the following hand of Razz from ‘EazyPeazy’ and won a pot worth over $40,000.

7-Game 6

Richard Ashby won a big pot from Patrik Antonius in the Omaha H/L game when he made a raise to $8,000 on the river and got a call.

7-Game 7

The wheel is the hand everyone loves in Omaha H/L, and ‘DIN-FRU’ got just that in the next hand, scooping a pot of over $40,000.

7-Game 8

‘EazyPeazy’ won this hand off Richard Ashby with two pair, building his stack to over $40,000.

7-Game 9

David Benyamine flopped a straight, and it was good enough to take a pot of over $43,000 in this hand from ‘DIN_FRU.’

7-Game 10

In the final hand of the evening, a river bet gave David Benyamine the pot of over $40,000 when his opponent, ‘DIN_FRU’ laid his hand down.

7-Game 11

On the night, the winners were David Benyamine and ‘DIN_FRU,’ while Ashby, Giang, and Antonius all stood up with less than what they sat down with.

Guy had all the hottest black women in Montreal show up because Robert Deniro was showing up to one of his parties.

“I rounded up the hottest black strippers, prostitutes and models in Montreal and invited them to Guy’s party,”

“Guy likes to do anything and everything to please his guests. He wants them to have the time of their lives at his parties. If he knows a special guest likes Italian wine, he’ll have the most expensive bottles flown in. These are bottles you’d never be able to get at a liquor store in Montreal. Guy pays attention to detail in everything he does. And he spares no expense.”

“Everything was permitted,” says “Abby,” a stripper from Las Vegas who was a regular at his parties. “I tripped out for four days. It was quite the experience.”

$2000 / $4000 Mixed games at Full Tilt

Posted by Poker Videos on October 21st, 2009

The super high limit games were ocne again in full effect as three of the biggest named pros in the business sat down and played the big mixed game. The $2000/$4000 7-Game went off with three of the Full Tilt Poker Red Pros sitting at two different tables. Patrik Antonius, Richard Ashby, and David Benyamine went head to head and all had stacks on both tables and the first hand we picked up was a hand between David Benyamine and Richard Ashby, and it was taken down by Benyamine, who took the pot of nearly $30,000 on the river when Ashby laid his hand down.

Ashby1

The next hand occured in the No Limit Hold ‘Em round. Patrik Antonius made a min raise on the button, and Richard Ashby moved all in out of the big blind. Antonius didn’t take very long to make the call, showing Ace Queen, but Ashby’s two kings held up and took down the pot.

Ashby2

Antonius took some of the money Beyamine took of Ashby when he made a bet of over $20,000 on the river.

Ashby3

The next pot came in the Limit Omaha H/L stage of the game, and took place between David Benyamine and Richard Ashby. Ashby bet the whole way, and got the call the entire time from Benyamine. Ashby’s straight qualified for the high and low, giving him the pot.

Ashby4

A bet on the turn was good enough for Benyamine to take down a big three way pot in the Limit Hold ‘Em round when both Antonius and Ashby made the fold on the turn in the following hand.

Ashby5

On the very next hand of Limit Hold ‘Em, Benyamine made another bet, this time on the river, and got Richard Ashby off his hand, winning another pot of over $30,000 in this hand.

Ashby6

Chopped pots usually don’t gain players much of a profit, but a monster pot brewed in the following hand, and although Patrik Antonius and David Benyamine split the pot, they both profited over $10,000 of Richard AShby’s money.

Ashby7

Patrik Antonius made a huge call on the end in the following hand, to win a pot of worth of over $40,000 from David Benyamine.

Ashby8

The next hand, which took place during the Razz level, saw Richard Ashby triple up through both Patrik Antonius and David Benyamine, tripling him to over $50,000.

Ashby9

Ashby continued his upswing when he took the following pot, worth over $30,000, from David Benyamine.

Ashby10

To what should come to no surprise, Richard Ashby took down our final hand of the evening, making a bet of $4000 and getting Patrik Antonius to lay down his hand, and ship the $30,000 pot to Ashby. On the night, Ashby grinded his way from a short stack to a stack of over $100,000 on one table, and accumulated a stack of over $80,000 on the other table, making him the clear winner on the night.

2009 50k H.o.r.s.e Update plus fantasy league

Posted by Poker Videos on June 29th, 2009

Full Tilt Fantasy League

Right now I’m steaming because most of my picks to win the 2009 50K H.O.R.S.E are felted. What has me really fired up, is they were the chips leaders after day one. Justin Smith AKA bostedJ was my number 2 pick in the event and he was doing very well on day one. Andy Bloch is out… How does this happen? I think Huck seed is the only person left from my predictions for the 50K H.O.R.S.E./ I do have people in my Full Tilt Poker Fantasy league that are left in the event. Jon Turner AKA PearlJammer was also one of my picks and he was doing well day 1. I wait all year for this event and I’m really pissed off about about the number of buy ins. ESPN should have done TV coverage of the event and there would have been at least 200 entries, instead there were 97. I really don’t think it’s the economy that effected the event, I think it was absence of TV cameras. The event was headed to be the “new main event” since over 5000 people were playing in the real main event making it a 10k “LOLdonkament” as Barry Greenstein would say. OK Freddie Deeb was one of my picks, so I have at least 160k since he was in B section.

I really made a couple “dark horse” picks that should have made the final table. One was Justin Smith as I mentioned, and the other was Jon Turner. You might not think Jon Turner to be a dark horse, but hes not a household name in poker yet, and when I made my predictions
it was before the start of the WSOP. I also mentioned another dark horse “Yuval Bronshtein” in the article and he was playing strong. I was unsure if he was going to buy into a 50k event , so I didn’t put him on the list. Be sure to look for Yuval Bronshtein in future live H.O.R.S.E events as he dominates them online. David Benyamine was was one of my top picks and he was the chip leader for some stretches.

2009 50k H.o.r.s.e Update

To my surprise Gus Hansen is the chip leader. He wasn’t even playing in any WSOP events and he finally made an appearance. I did not peg him to even be in it at this point since he’s playing so much heads up Omaha Hi. I figured he’d have tough time adjusting to the 8 person limit tables. I once again under estimated the Great Dane and his ability to acclimate to any poker table.

The Russians are looking to take over the poker world once again with several contenders. I want to call Mikhail Tulchinskiy a pot limit Omaha specialist but can’t because of his NL Holdem and H.o.r.s.e finishes. Vitaly Lunkin won the 40k NL Holdem event and is aiming to win the H.o.r.s.e. That would be the sickest poker accomplishment. Oh BTW, he finished 2nd this year in the 10k Pot Limit Omaha.
Full Tilt Poker pro Vitaly Lunkin is on a hot streak like many of the seasoned pros at the 2009 WSOP. There are several players with multiple bracelet wins and Lisandro won 3 this year. This is definitely
the year of the pros and I think it’s because of the economy. I don’t think the fish are able to afford to buy in these tournaments and the sharks are eating the donks that did enter real fast.

As I said earlier, I totally think the low turn out for the 50k H.O.R.S.E is from ESPN not airing the event on TV. I don’t think Phil Hellmuth even enter and surely he would enter if it was televised. IMO the WSOP is well run, but they should have advised ESPN to keep airing the 50k until in gained momentum. They didn’t give it a chance. I also disagree with Daniel Negreanu wanted to make the final table of the 50k NL Holdem again. Horse is Horse and not NL.
