Patrik Antonius, Gus Hansen, and Brian Townsend are all common names when discussing the highest online games in the world, and this game is no different. The three of them sat down at one of Full Tilt Poker’s 7-Game tables with $1500/$3000 limits to battle it out. Right into action, which is no surprise to anyone familiar with these three.

The first pot was a big one. Patrik Antonus took all of Gus Hansen’s chips with a scoop in this Stud H/L hand.

Hansen dropped another pot to Antonius here, who won a pot worth over $20,000 with a pair of sevens.

Hansen won some back here, getting all the money in on the turn. His straight held, and won a pot of $50,000 from Brian Townsend.

Gus used a raise in this Omaha H/L pot to take a hand from Patrik Antonius for over $20,000.

The nuts were good enough for Patrik here. A flush was worth $30,000 in this hand.

A flush was once again good enough for Antonius. This Stud hand won him over $40,000 from Hansen.

Gus used a big bet in the No Limit Hold’Em round to take this hand off Townsend.

Antonius continued his winning ways in this next pot. After flopping the nut flush, two pair turned out to be the best hand, winning Antonius over $35,000.

Townsend took a hand off Hansen here. After turning the flush, Townsend made a big river bet. After a long tank from Gus, the call was made in a losing effort.

The final hand of the session went to Hansen, with a pair on the river.

On the day, Patrik Antonius once again found himself on the winning end of things, booking a win of over $100,000, taking most the money from the session’s loser, Gus Hansen.

Three of the biggest names in online high stakes poker took place in a big OE game on Full Tilt Poker. Three Full Tilt Red pros sat down: Brian Townsend, David Oppenheim, and Erick Lindgren all joined in the big games. Our first hand saw Lindgren drop a big pot to Brian Townsend when Townsend’s ace high held.

Townsend took another pot off Lindgren, this time with a bet on the river to take a pot worth almost $20,000.

Townsend took this pot off of David Oppenheim for over $20,000.

Oppenheim got revenge in this pot, taking it for over $13,000.

Townsend took it all back with this $14,000 scoop.

The two were exchanging blows for a while before Oppenheim landed this $20,000 pot with a bet on the river.

A raise on fifth street helped Oppenheim further his lead in the match, forcing Townsend to fold.

FTOPS winner Ashton Griffin ‘theASHMAN103′ joined the high stakes game, increasing the competition even further. It didn’t take long for David Oppenheim to suffer ‘theASHMAN103’s wrathe, losing this $25,000 pot.

Newcomers to the game in Tom Dwan screen name durrrr and ‘NEKOTYAN’ got involved in a big four way pot. Usually a chop doesn’t see much of a profit for either player, but this was the exception as Dwan and Townsend profited $10,000 from the hand.

On the night, Townsend and Oppenheim were the clear winners of the session, Oppenheim to the amount of over $50,000. Tom Dwan and ‘NEKOYAN’ both lost on the night.

More high stakes action in the 7-Game went down at Full Tilt Poker, this time on two different heads up tables. Ilari Sahamies screen name ‘Ziigmund’ took on Alexander Kostritsyn screen name ‘PostflopAction‘ on two different $1500/$3000 tables. Our first hand went for almost $40,000. ‘PostflopAction’ took the hand down by flopping two pair.

‘PostflopAction won yet another big pot in this hand, this time with a full house in the Limit Omaha H/L game.

The trend continued in this hand, in the same Omaha H/L round. Another full house was good enough for ‘Ziigmund’ to drop another hand of $30,000.

In the Razz round, a seventh street bet from ‘PostflopAction’ was good enough to take down this pot for another win of $30,000.

Back to Limit Omaha H/L, the incredible trend continued, with ‘PostflopAction’ winning yet another hand of over $30,000.

After dropping five straight big hands, ‘Ziigmund’ was due for a big pot, and it came. After flopping three jacks, ‘Ziigmund’ got it all in, and was able to take down pocket aces and win a pot worth over a quarter of a million dollars.

‘PostflopAction’ didn’t take long to get back on the winning side of things. Yet another full house was good enough to take this pot, worth nearly $100,000.

Pot Limit Omaha usually offers up some of the biggest action in the game, and this session was no different. After ‘Ziigmund’ made a pot sized bet on the turn, ‘PostflopAction’ turned up the heat to nearly $130,000.

‘PostflopAction’ took the winning to another level in this Pot Limit Omaha hand. An amazing string of full houses struck ‘PostflopAction’ once again in this hand, winning a pot worth $240,000.

The final hand of the session once again went ‘PostflopAction’s way. Another big Pot Limit Omaha hand brewed, as ‘Ziigmund’ made a bet on the turn. ‘PostflopAction’ made a big raise to $81,000, forcing ‘Ziigmund’ to lay the hand down.

On the session, ‘PostflopAction’ turned in a win of over $200,000. It was one of the bigger heads up session wins the 7-Game has recently seen, and was done with relative ease and in a fairly short amount of time.

The first high stakes poker game after the new rules to the Full Tilt 7 Game went off on Wednesday. Since the blinds were lowered in the Pot Limit Omaha/No Limit Hold ‘Em game, the new games that went off on Full Tilt Poker was played at the $2000/$4000 HEROS tables. Regulars filled the table, including Gus Hansen, Cole South, and David Oppenheim. However, the 7-Game wasn’t dead. While the limit being played were at $1500/$3000, the heads up tables still got action. Two different tables went off between Richard Ashby and Cole South. The first big hand of the day came in a big Razz pot between Gus Hansen and Cole South. Although South picked up a scary card on fifth street, he continued to play back at Hansen and eventually took this pot with a bet on seventh street.

Our next big hand was from the heads up game, where Cole South picked up a Razz hand from Ashby on this hand.

While Hansen had just lost a large pot to South, this next hand shows South taking the rest of ‘The Great Dane’s’ stack.

Hansen didn’t rebuy into the game. This caused David Oppenheim to also sit out, killing the action on both of the $2000/$4000 tables. South and Ashby didn’t disappoint the high stakes fans, however, building a massive pot on this Omaha hand.

The two heads up tables were not set up to be epic matches, with both South and Ashby sitting on stacks of over $100,000 on both tables. Ashby quickly changed that, however. It was a big Stud Hi pot, with Ashby taking the win with Aces and Kings.

A huge pot took place in the Pot Limit Omaha round. Ashby made a bet of over $17,000 on the river and was quickly called by South. Ashby showed a full house, which was good enough to take the pot of over $60,000.

South got revene in this hand, but for a much smaller amount. A pair of aces were good to take this hand for over $20,000.

It didn’t take Ashby long to regroup and take the next big pot. A flush was good for this pot worth over $30,000.

Ashby continued his upswing taking this big Limit Hold ‘Em pot from South for the tune of nearly $40,000.

South finally got some revenge in this hand. A full house was good enough to take the pot of $30,000.

This ended the heads up play for the day. Ashby sat out, leaving South to lick his wounds. Ashby ended up being a winner for around $150,000 on the session.
