High stakes action was somewhat slow on Full Tilt Poker for much of Monday, but Tom Dwan aka durrrr still managed to log session that produced some great action. Dwan was hanging around the $300-$600 PLO tables while Cole South hung around the $200-$400 tables.

Dwan spent most of his time playing on the This Is Nuts table with Di Dang aka “urindanger” and knluiy. It didn’t take long before a big pot developed. Dwan five-bet preflop to $60,600 and knluiy made the call. On a flop of 9s-Kc-3c knluiy bet $121,500 and Dwan only had $15,395 left. He made the call with a set of kings. Knluiy held only a pair of nines and gutshot straight draw. The turn and river failed to fill knluiy’s straight and durrrr takes a $152,289 pot.

Just three hands later, Dwan took another $100k pot. All three players saw a flop of 7c-4c-3h. Knluiy bet out 14,400 and only Dwan made the call. On the turn of the 2h, knluiy bet out $30,600 and Dwan called again. The river 5s was checked by both players. Knluiy showed Ad-8d-Jh-8h for just a pair of eights and durrrr showed Qd-2d-5c-10c for two pair. Durrrr took down the $109,199 pot.

Urindanger took the biggest pot for the session. All three players saw a flop of Kc-4s-3d and action was checked to Dang, who bet out $15,600. Knluiy raised to 66,000 and durrrr got out of the way. Dang then moved all-in for $114,299 total. Knluiy made the call and showed Ah-7h-Ks-Jd for top pair and no redraw. Dang showed Ad-5d-3s-2s for a wrap. The turn fell the 6s to give Dang the straight and knuluiy was drawing dead. Urindanger took down the $247,797 pot.

Durrrr took his third $100k pot of the night a few hands later. All three players saw a flop of 8d-5s-7s. Knuluiy bet out $4,200 and was called by both players. On the turn 2h, knluiy bet $20,100 and only Dwan made the call. The river fell the 3c and knluiy bet $60,300, which was enough to put Dwan all-in for $43,171.50. Knluiy showed Ks-Qs-10h-4d for total air. Dwan showed Kh-Kc-10s-9d for only a pair of kings. Dwan made a great read to take down the $146,642 pot.

Durrrr would take the rest of knluiy’s stack four hands later. Both players saw a flop of 8c-6c-4d and knluiy bet out $16,200. Durrrr made the call and the turn fell the 3d. Knluiy bet out $48,600 and durrrr raised enough to put knluiy all-in. He made the call for his last $34,494 and showed Ac-10c-6s-6h for a set of sixes and the nut flush draw. Dwan showed Qh-10h-7h-5h for the flopped straight. The river fell the 9h to give Dwan a higher straight and the $214,787 pot.
Dwan and Dang played a couple of hands, but Dang took off as soon as Knluiy left. Phil Ivey then showed up and played four hands in which he lost $22,000 to durrrr. Durrrr asked Ivey if he knew why there wasn’t a game and Ivey didn’t know. After four hands, their game broke and Dwan hung around waiting for another game to start, but one never did.
Cole South then came on and sat at several $200-$400 PLO tables. The only table that saw any action was the Bright Sky table where Cole South and Ziigmund started playing. Durrrr joined the fun for a while, but there weren’t any significant pots of note. After durrrr left, action began to heat up a bit between South and Ziigmund.

The first pot of note saw Ilari Sahamies aka Ziigmund lose a buy-in to South. Both players saw a flop of Qs-9c-3d. South bet out $5,600 and Ziigmund raised to $25,260. South then moved in for $56,617 and Ziigmund called for $54,917.50 total. South was ahead with Kh-9h-Qc-7c for two pair. Ziigmund held Kc-4c-Qd-Js for top pair and a gutshot draw. The turn and river fell babies and Cole South won the $118,294.50 pot.

There was a bit of a lull in action before South took another buy-in off of Ziigmund. On a flop of Ah-Kh-Jd, Ziigmund bet $7,620 and South raised to $18,000. Ziigmund called and checked the river 4d. South bet $43,620 and Ziigmund raised all-in to $49,050. South called and showed Qc-10d-9h-3h for broadway and a heart redraw. Ziigmund showed Ad-Kd-Qd-Kc for a set, a diamond draw, and a broadway draw. The river fell the 4h to give South the flush and a $141,719.50 pot.

Zigmund got another buy-in cut down to about $25,000 before he reloaded to $75,000. He was able to build it back to $131,096 before finally losing that in the largest pot of the night. The two saw a flop of Qh-8h-5s. A raising war then ensued that eventually saw Cole South move all-in for $199,129. Ziigmund called for his last $127,286 and himself in a set over set situation. South held Qd-Qs-10c-9s for top set and Ziigmund held 9h-5c-5h-6h for bottom set. South had a straight redraw and Ziigmund held a both a straight and flush redraw. The turn fell the Jd to give South a straight. Now only a non-pairing heart on the river would save Ziigmund. The river fell the Ks to give South an even better straight and the $262,191.50 pot.
Ziigmund left after that hand and south finished just shy of a $300,000 win for the night. Big pots were the name of the game Monday at Full Tilt. Hopefully this is the start of some great action for the rest of the week.
